Thunderheart

I thought of calling this post something about owls, but I don't really like death messages so I went with Thunderheart instead.

I was watching TV late and it was dark outside, just a bright outdoor lamp that lit up the wall on the other side from my window. As I glanced away from the TV and out the window I saw a bird of some sort fly slowly in front of the lamp.
I couldn't see it properly, but it had somewhat long wings and short body, so I reckoned it was an owl, and thought it was cool, since I can't remember if I've ever seen one out in nature, though I've heard it many times.
Later I glanced out again, then it flew the same way back. So I saw it two times.

Then I started watching a movie called Thunderheart, which has a story built on true occurences back in the 70's.
The main character is sent to an indian reservation to help with a murder investigation, and one of the indians he talk to are an old medicine man, that tells him he already foresaw him coming.
At the end of the conversation the translator tells him that owls predict death in indian culture.

I can imagine which ones might be predicted for, but I don't like to write about it too much. It doesn't have to be cast in stone the way I might think.

Then in the movie there's a scene where a deer or elk is running in front of the car the main character and his friend are driving at night.

After the movie I went driving in the night and along the roadside I saw two deer that  ran from the road and out into the field. They weren't on the road but I saw them in the headlights.
I don't think I've seen deer since I saw one being hit by a truck in the opposite lane one dark early morning. At least these two weren't hit by anyone.

Sometimes observations seems to come like machinegun-shots, a couple rapid rounds within a few minutes,or just a minute, and then silent for a week or two, or a month even.

Or perhaps I'm denying all the ones I don't like and don't count them all.

I decided to change the layout on  datretranscripts.blogspot.com ,
if there's any problem with anything showing correctly, you can leave a comment and I'll see what I can do.
