Monsieur Ibrahim

I watched this movie the other day. The main character has been rejected by the girl he's in love with and the old shopkeeper Ibrahim explains to him, it doesn't matter if she loves you or not, its the love that you have for her that matters.

This is what Levenson discovered after getting the message that he only had a few weeks to live, - you are much happier loving than being loved.

Ibrahim and the boy goes on a journey, and they go to see the dancing dervishes. That's the way they pray, dancing.

This movie reminds me that I had in mind to read the Quran.
There's so many books to read, I looked at the book of Urantia, over a 1000 pages. Then I was thinking of rereading the Datre transcripts. I look at some parts differently now, from what I did 10 years ago.
Well, all in good time.
I'm reading Skomsvolds Monsterhuman, she's funny sometimes, but mostly there's a personality background of anxiety, sorrow and sadness. I recognize parts of her in me, with her fears.

Kjersti A. Skomsvold

A few weeks ago I went and saw this author. I'd recently bought her latest book, and she signed it for me. She said in an interview - it's a book about being afraid.
When I'm reading this book now it's strange reading about her lack of self confidence, her obsession with her looks, as she is a very beautiful woman, both inside and out.
I get the impression it's a very honest story, vulnurable, self-searching. Which suggest lacks of ego, which is to her benefit. She had to change focus to change her life.

Her second book is called Monsterhuman.

Hope you like the gift Kjersti, I don't know if it's to your taste, but that's what it was.
All the best :)

Observation - Farcry commercial

I was watching tv, and while the commercials was on there was one for the video game Farcry. I don't remember which version, 3 or 4 maybe. I did play the first Farcry like 10 years ago or so, and it was allright I guess, a straight shooter. The video game itself to me isn't that interesting.

But what caught my attention was what was said in the commercial, and again I don't remember exactly word by word, but it was perfect. I tried to search for it on the net, but haven't found it yet.

It went something like:

- You think you know who you are, but if you lost everything in your life, then who are you?

It wasn't exactly what was said, but along that line. Maybe someone else have seen it too? It was flawless as far as I'm concerned :)

It's fun when these things happen, and they're fairly easy to spot once they show up.  Especially those that can be understood by lots of people. The individual once can be a bit trickier.

Anyway, enjoy your pictures, they're all yours :)
